Adventures in Yosemite Valley: Day One

After a long year of language school graduation day finally arrived and so did a much needed getaway! We decided to enjoy a long weekend in Yosemite. We booked our cabin and couldn't wait for the day to arrive : )

Day One: We left the Monterey Bay Area Friday morning at 10am. The drive was relaxing. The kids had their headphones on so we could talk and listen to music while they watched a movie. We stopped in Los Banos at Chili's for lunch. It was Veteran's Day and Michael's meal was FREE! Now that our bellies were full we were ready to finish the rest of the drive. We stopped again in Merced for gas before we headed into the mountains. We arrived at our cabin around 3 and unpacked the car and began making dinner. The kids played outside while there was still daylight and within minutes Nathan found a friend! He was so excited. We ate dinner and settled in for the night with great anticipation of the new adventures the morning would bring.
