Deployment Day 183: Halway there...

Yesterday marked the halfway point for this year long deployment. We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon at a local apple orchard and pumpkin patch. In the evening we packed up and went to our friends for an overnight camp out on their property. We all had a great time. Of course we all missed Michael. He loves the outdoors and we love being with him. We came home this morning and cleaned up all our gear. The weather has turned very cold here rather quickly. It is nice to experience Fall after living in Monterey The leaves are so beautiful. Today at the dinner table Noelle said, "We always have on extra seat left for daddy." She continue by saying we are 5 but we are 4 children with a mom and a dad and that makes six but only when daddy is here are we six. I never know what and how she is feeling about daddy not being here since she is so young. But today she was obviously very aware of where daddy should be and is not.

So glad we are halfway there...
