The Fort sponsored the 2012 Army Soldier Show. It was a great show! The show covered the many faces of a soldier. The Army represents people from so many different cultures. The entire show makes you very proud of soldiers. I am very proud of my soldier!
One of the lyrical dancers danced to a song about a 10 year old boy who became the man of the house when his daddy deployed. Tears filled my eyes as I saw my little boy in the song. He has been struggling lately at bedtime. He is 9 almost 10 and he says he is the man of the house since daddy is not here. I am very careful to not put pressure on him but he puts pressure on himself to care for me and the other children. He is very protective of his family.

My heart breaks for our children who are older now and need their daddy. Tonight we read Joshua chapter one and we spent time talking about God's promise to be with us wherever we go and the command to be strong and courageous. Bedtime was much easier tonight...no tears...no fear...just giggles, kisses, and snuggles! Thankful for God's presence that helps me and my family to be strong and very courageous.
