Deployment Day 21: Field Trip

Our homeschool group when on a field trip today to a place called Missouri Town. It was an opportunity to see what a progressive farming community looked like during the mid 1800's. All the children had a wonderful time.

Talking about life on the farm before we explore the 30 Acres!

Noelle and her sweet friend Kanoe looking at the sheep!

Alexis outside the blacksmith shop.

The blacksmith! HE was so good with the kids! He made a striker and Alexis got so excited because her daddy has a striker and has show her how to lite a candle with it and he did the same thing. She was proud that she knew what he was doing and how it worked because of her daddy!

The church house on the farm. It took my breath away. I was read to pray, worship, and discover more about my God.

The beautiful property

Aidan praying in the church house. Such a precious boy!

He quoted John 3:16 behind the pulpit

On the farm I kept seeing my Michael. He would have loved this place. I miss having him tag along on field trips. We had three dads join our group for this trip. He would have loved to have not been the only dad tagging along! Today was a pleasant day. We are finally finding our rhythm. I can't wait to till day 30 and we can celebrate one month in. We are enjoying each day all the while looking forward to a new day because we know it means we are one day closer to seeing the best husband and father in the whole wide world again! Looking forward to R & R over Christmas and New Years!

In awe of God's goodness! He is a good God!!!
